Machine-Specific Overrides

*.ini files here are loaded after the shared files one level up and may override any of their keys.

Use them for anything tied to one machine's hardware or capabilities, for example, suspend/hibernate bindings, HiDPI scaling, or night light warmth.

Same rules as for the shared files: paths are anchored at the root of dconf, and /home/user is rewritten before loading.

Two files are generated and must not be edited by hand:

palette.ini is written by color-palette
temporary_background.ini is written by randomize-background and removed again by gnome-restore on the next login

Examples

Suspend and hibernate bindings are reserved in key-bindings.ini but only bound here on machines that support them:
